Japanese Voice Actors

Sasaki Nozomu was born on January 25, 1967 in Hiroshima. He is the voice of Urameshi Yusuke in the Japanese version of Yu Yu Hakusho. He has voiced such characters as Shima Tetsuo in Akira, Mello in Death Note, Daikenja and Janus in Kyo Kara Maoh, Shadi and Preist Shada in Yu-Gi-Oh, Hiiragisawa Eriol in Cardcaptor Sakura, and Guru Clef in Magic Knight Rayearth. Sasaki has been named the victor of the Seiyuu Grand Prix more than any other voice actor.

Kuwabara Kazuma- Chiba Shigeru

Chiba Shigeru's real name is Maeda Masaharu. Shigeru was born on February 4, 1954 in Kikuchi, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. He is a retired voice actor and currently an actor. He also has worked as a sound effects director and music director.

He has voice acted in many anime series. His voice has appeared in Yu Yu Hakusho as Kuwabara Kazuma, in One Piece as Buggy the Clown, in Ranma 1/2 as Sarugakure Sasuke, in Urusei Yatsura as Megane, in Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne as Officer Todaiji, in Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro as Ratman, in My Neighbor Totoro as Kusakari-Otoko, and in Dragon Ball as Emperor Pilaf. Chiba has also acted in Shiroi Kyoto, Stray Dog: Kerberos Panzer Cops, and the Sakura Taisen Kayo Show.

Ogata Megumi was born on June 6, 1965 and originally debuted as a musical actress. She has done many roles in voice actoring, especially male roles. Some of her roles include Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho, Ikari Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Rio Izumi from Full Moon wo Sagashite, Aoyama Masaya from Tokyo Mew Mew, Yukito and Yue from Cardcaptor Sakura, and Princess Emeraude from Magic Knight Rayearth. She is also the voice of Sailor Uranus in Sailor Moon (Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon) and is "the other" Yugi's voice in the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh (never brought to America).

Ogata has even had her own shows: Love Letter and the Ogata Megumi no Tsuki no Yoru ni Ai ma Show. She is a very popular singer and voice actor with many fans world wide.

Hiei- Hiyama Nobuyuki

Hiyami Nobuyuki was born in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, Japan on August 25, 1967. He has done a varity of both game and anime voices. He is the voice of the many grunts and cries of our favorite Hylian, adult Link, from The Legend of Zelda videogame series and the three eyed demon, Hiei, in Yu Yu Hakusho. He has voiced such characters as Hikitsu from Fushigi Yugi, Balmung from .Hack, Madarame Ikkaku from Bleach, Toshu from Arc the Lad, Komiya Saizo from Rosario + Vampire, Daigorou Okuma from Rurouni Kenshin, Nightmare from Soul Calibur, and William Matheson from Mamalade Boy.

Botan- Miyuki Sanae

Miyuki Sanae was born on April 2, 1959 in Fukushima, Japan. She has done a few voice acting roles such as Botan in Yu Yu Hakusho, Etsuko in Maison Ikkoku, Rihoko Fake in Ninku the Movie, Lynn Russell in Lady Lady!, and Rainbow Brite in Rainbow Brite.

Amano Yuri was born Tomoko Yoshikawa on January 5, 1966 in Kyoto, Japan. She has done the voice talents of Yukimura Keiko in Yu Yu Hakusho, Karashiro Reiran in Flame of Recca, Princess Eries and Naria in The Vision of Escaflowne, and Mikamura Rain in Mobile Fighter G Gundam.

Koenma- Tanaka Mayumi

Tanaka Mayumi was born Mayumi Abe on January 15, 1955 in Tokyo, Japan. She is the voice of Koenma in Yu Yu Hakusho, Monkey D. Luffy in One Piece, Krillin in Dragon Ball Z, Pazu in Castle in the Sky, and Fujunami Ryuunosuke in Urusei Yatsura.

Genkai- Kyoda Hisako
Kyoda Hisako was born on February 22, 1935. She has voiced such characters as Genkai from Yu Yu Hakusho, Kaede from InuYasha, Oh-Baba from Nausica of the Valley of the Wind, Taiitsukun from Fushigi Yugi, and Grandmother Godai from Maison Ikkoku. She even voiced the Japanese voice of Sleeping Beauty.

Young Genkai- Hayashibara Megumi

Hayashibara Megumi was born on March 30, 1967 in Tokyo, Japan. She is a singer, voice actor, lyricist and registered nurse. She has done the voices of such popular characters as girl-type Saotome Ranma in Ranma 1/2, Lina Inverse in Slayers, Kyoyama Anna in Shamen King, Ayanami Rei in Neon Genesis Evangelion, Haibara Ai in Detective Conan, Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop, and Musashi (Jessie) in Pokemon. She is also Alice in the Japanese version of Alice in Wonderland.

Shiratori Yuri was born on August 20, 1968 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She is a voice actor and a J-pop singer.

Shiratori has done the voice talents of Mizutani Aki in Boys Be, Narusegawa Mei in Love Hina, Aisaka Sayo in Negima, Tsubame in Rurouni Kenshin, and Lilie in Princess Tutu. She is also the Japanese voice of Anastasia in Anastasia.

English Voice Actors

Justin Cook was born on April 4, 1982 in Lubbock, Texas. He is the voice of Yusuke and Puu in Yu Yu Hakusho. Cook is also the voice director of Funimation and the line Producer of Yu Yu Hakusho and Full Metal Alchemist, and is the Production Manager of One Piece. His first voice acting role was Dende in Dragon Ball Z and has since done other voices such as Sohma Hatsuharu in Fruits Basket, Russell Tringum in Fullmetal Alchemist, and Buu in Dragon Ball Z.

Kuwabara Kazuma- Christopher R. Sabat

Christopher R. Sabat was born on April 22, 1973 in Washington, D.C. Sabat was one of Funimation's first voice actors. He has studied voice and piano for 15 years and has been a D.J. and Producer Director on several major market radio stations.

He is the voice of Kuwabara Kazuma in Yu Yu Hakusho, Ayame in Fruits Basket, Piccolo, Yamcha, and Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, Alex Louis Armstrong in Full Metal Alchemist, Kurogane in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, and Roronoa Zoro in One Piece.

Kurama- John Burgmeier

John Burgmeier was born on October 24, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois and is the son of Linda Young, another Funimation voice actor. Burgmeier is a voice actor and ADR script writer and did the English script adaptation of Fruits Basket and supervised the Yu Yu Hakusho script. He has voiced Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho, Sohma Shigure in Fruits Basket, Sagami Rei in Kodocha, and Eyes Rutherford in Spiral.

Hiei- Chuck Huber

Chuck Huber was born May 8, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois and is formerly a school principal. He has four kids and says his favorite non-anime cartoon is Dora the Explorer.

He is the voice of Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho, Android 17 of Dragon Ball Z, Shou Tucker from Fullmetal Alchemist, Hector from Glass Fleet, and Tanaka from Kodocha.

Cynthia Cranz was born on March 3, 1969 in Grapevine, Texas. She has been in a number of commericals, ads, music videos, independent films, and live theater. She is the voice of Botan in Yu Yu Hakusho, Chi Chi in Dragon Ball Z, Mii in Fruits Basket, Hisae in Kodocha, Reiko in Spiral, Miss Father's Day in One Piece, and Mitch in Case Closed.

Yukimura Keiko-Laura Bailey

Laura Bailey was born on May 28, 1981 in Mississippi, USA. She is a voice actress and an actress. She sings the opening and ending songs of Fruits Basket. Her favorite non-anime cartoon is the Justice League.

Her voice has appeared in both anime and video games. Bailey is the voice of Keiko in Yu Yu Hakusho, Honda Tohru in Fruits Basket, Young Trunks in Dragon Ball Z, Serena from Case Closed, Marlene Angel in Blue Gender, Kurata Sana in Kodocha, Takamachi Ryoko in Spiral, and Lust in Fullmetal Alchemist.

Linda Young is the mother of John Burgmeier. She has done few roles compared to most of the Funimation voice actors. She has voiced Genkai in Yu Yu Hakusho, and Frieza, Fasha, and Baba in Dragon Ball Z.

Yukina- Susan Huber
Susan Huber is an American voice actress and used to work at Radio Disney before it relocated. She has voiced Yukina in Yu Yu Hakusho and Suno in Dragon Ball Z.
