May 31, 2011: Funimation will release a boxset of season 1 (Episodes 1-28) on Blu-ray. As mentioned below, Funimation had made several corrections to errors and redubbed some dialogue.

May 16, 2011: The 7th volume of the Bunkoban edition of the Japanese manga will be released.

May 13, 2011: Yu Yu Hakusho will be released on Blu-Ray in the U.S. with thoroughly edited sound, including complete redubbing of Suzuki and Sniper by their original actors. All references to 'Suzuka" have also been altered to keep to his original Japanese name of Suzuki. In addition Justin Cook confirmed a Funimation release of the 1993 movie as well as the OVAs, Eizou Hakusho. More information about additional changes can be found here.

October 07, 2009: The 18th volume of the Yu Yu Hakusho manga will be available on this day.

August 18, 2009: According to The Anime News Network Bandai Visual of Japan announced that the first Blu-Ray Boxset of the Yu Yu Hakusho anime will have a brand new picture drama featuring the original Japanese voices of the four main characters (who we can assume are Yusuke, Kuwabara, Hiei, and Kurama). It will be a brand new story that occurs after the final episode of the anime. The new dialogue will be accompanied with still pictures. The Boxset will be available October 27, 2009. The second boxset December 22, 2009 and the third on February 23, 2010.

July 8, 2008: Yu Yu Hakusho Season 1 DVD Boxset comes out containing all the Spirit Detective Saga. Episodes 1-28.

July 1, 2008: Yu Yu Hakusho Volume 15 of the Manga hits bookstores!

February 5, 2008: Yu Yu Hakusho Volume 14 of the Manga comes out.

December 18, 2008: Eight Finalist set will come out containing episodes 99-112

October 2, 2007: Yu Yu Hakusho Volume 13 of the Manga hits bookstores!

Laura Bailey, the voice of Keiko, and along with Vic Mignogna, the voice of Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist, Dark from DNAngel, and many other roles, will be attending Anime Expo in Anaheim, California (Where Disneyland and California Adventure are located) as "the 1st ever official U.S. Guest of Honors, proudly representing the American side of the Anime industry, at this year's convention." Other guest of honors that are must-go-fors are CLAMP in their 1st U.S. appearance and Fullmetal Alchemist's director Seiji Mizushima.

The Yu Yu Hakusho manga volume 10 will be out August 1, 2006.

YYH's creator Yoshihiro Togashi has recently recovered from an illness and is now resuming his manga Hunter X Hunter.

Celebrate! Yu Yu Hakusho is finally back on TV. It airs at 5:30am Saturdays on Cartoon Network. So wake up early to catch the Yuyu.

Volume 8 of the YYH manga is now out!

Funimation has announced surprises for the 2006 year regarding YYH at conventions. Maybe the OAV might even be released!

Yu Yu Hakusho manga finally gets color pages in the September issue of Shonen Jump!

The final volume (sniff sniff) of the Yu Yu Haksuho anime will be released July 19, 2005, Yusuke Rediscovered, volume 32.

June 21 2005 the second to last volume of the anime is released, Volume 31: Dreams of Power.

Hold your breath fox fans! The all time cutest plushie of our favorite fox demon, Kurama will be released April 20, 2005.

June 15 2005 Volume 7 of the Yu Yu Hakusho manga is released.

April 19, 2005 Volume 30 of the YYH anime is out, King Urameshi.

For those of you fond of Yoshihiro Togashi's work then I have news for you! Hunter x Hunter will be released in April 2005 from VIZ.

Volume 29 of the anime of YYH, Bandits and Kings, will be coming out on February 22, 2005.

On January 11, 2005, Yu Yu Hakusho: Saga of the Three Kings-Three Kingdoms, volume 28 is releashed. ^^

February 1, 2005 is the release date of volume 6 of the Yu Yu Hakusho manga

On November 23the first volume of the Three Kings saga is released, Temping Fate.

Yu Yu Hakusho lives in japan once again! The manga is being released once again. These new releases will include totally new covers, colored pages in each book, and new pages drawn by the creator. They will be two volumes out every month. So if you can read Japanese its something I'd check out. Also a drama CD will be released. The voices will be done by the original japanese voice actors and follow the story of Hiei and Kurama's first meeting and the 1st edition release will include a Keiko and Yusuke and Hiei and Kurama pencilboard. So get out your wallets!

November 16, Yu Yu Hakusho: Tournament Tactics GBA game comes out.

October 5, Volume 26 Born Anew of the anime is out.

Two of the Yu Yu Hakusho voice actors, the voice of Kurama and Hiei, are going to be at the San Diego Comic Con, July 23 and 24.

Now available from Jakks Pacific are a brand new batch of Yu Yu Hakusho toys. They include 5.5 in. figures of Yusuke, Hiei, Kuwabara, Kurama, Rinku, and Sakyo.(Who likes Sakyo??)Then there are 5.5 in. deluxe figures of Yusuke, Sazuku,Kuwabara, and Hiei in full demon form. They do cool little things like glowing weapons. To see a scan of some of the toys click here There are also 12 in. figures. But I only know they have Hiei in demon form.

October 6 marks the release of Yu Yu Hakusho volume 5 of the manga!
