Cosplay

"What is cosplay?" you wonder, right? Well, its name comes from costume and play. Basicly a person dresses up like it's Halloween. But they're not dressing up as ghost or vampires, they're dressing up as their favorite character from an anime, manga, comic, game, etc. Most cosplayers make their own costumes but some pay someone else to create it for them if they can't sew. People usually wear their cosplay to anime/comic/game connventions. Some people even enter contests to win prizes where they are judged on how well the outfit was made and how much of it was made from scratch.

Here are two lovely cosplayers we met at Comic Con San Diego 2005 that we stalked. On the left we have Botan with her bug stray from the Maze Castle episodes and on the right we have Genkai. Well made costumes girls!

Kurama-Chan cosplaying as Kurama at an Anime Convention in Brazil. Doesn't she capture Kurama's beauty perfectly? Kurama-Chan you make a very lovely Kurama! Excellent costume.

Hiei/is/2/Hot cosplaying as Hiei at Christmas time (without her wig)! Great job! She has several outfits. Show the Hiei love!

While at Anime Expo 2006 we saw a Koenma cosplayer and immediately ran back across the street to get a picture. Ryoko yelled "Koenma, can I have your picture!"

The cosplayer's friend said to Koenma, "She made your day."

Ryoko replied, "Aw, I hope I did." She had a great Koenma costume!

A few minutes later we saw a Kurama cosplayer at AX 2006. Her cosplay looked great! A very well made outfit.

During Anime Expo 2007 Gaara (Yami) and Ino (Ryoko) went on a mission to find safety pins. We went into Vons and ran into this cute Koto cosplayer! : D

The next day at Anime Expo 2007 we ran into an awesome Koenma cosplayer and an adorable Ayame cosplayer! They are so cute!
